Hi Vivi,

When I was building the Earthship in Biras, France. I won the prize to have a dinner with the crew from Taos. I had a moment to chat with Michael Reynolds about my ideas, and how I felt that the biggest problem with the house was cost, and how would I make it cheaper by making the roof with one slope, having tubes come out the side of the house instead of roof, and other things.

Two years later he builds the first Earthship Encounter, and even that I didn’t have anything with it, it has a lot of the points I discussed with him in the design.

He already had a cheap Earthship called the simple survival.

I don’t know if my conversation had anything to do with this but I feel like it. I want to think that a seeded a fraction of an idea in some details of this house. But I give him all the praise for the execution.

It’s a very Earthship design for my taste and still too expensive. I still think in ways of building cheaper.

Je t’aime,
